The festival of Ganesh Chaturthi and Bollywood almost go hand in hand. Year after year, Bollywood shows its devotional and festive side in full spirit by bringing home Lord Vinaayak on this auspicious occasion. Since Ganesh Chaturthi on Friday, stars have been celebrating the festival with frinds family and seeking Ganesha's blessings in their own special way. From Amitabh Bachhan to Madhuri Dixit Nene, here is a glimpse of how stars celebrated Ganesha Chaturthi this year-
A host of stars attended the biggest Ganpati celebration at Lalbaugcha Raja. Stars such as Megastar Amitabh Bachhan along with his family, Ajay Devgan, Priyanka Chopra and Manish Malhotra were amongst the A-listers spotted here.
Arpita Khan Sharma’s Ganpati was probably the most well attended celebration where the likes of Priyanka and Madhu Chopra, Malaika Arora Khan, Lulia Vantur, Juhi Chawla and Swara Bhaskar were spotted.
Sanjay Dutt welcomed Ganesha ceremoniously along with his wife Manyata and a host of priests.
Vivek Oberoi was also seen bringing in the deity home to his family.
Television actor Manish Paul welcomed the Lord along with a few friends including Tisca Chopra.
Sonali Bendre along with husband Goldie Behl were spotted bringing in their Ganesha home.
Shraddha Kapoor too enjoyed the day off with her loved ones as did Neil Nitin Mukesh.
We spotted Hrithik Roshan offering his prayers to the deity. Sussane Khan also joined in the prayers with the Roshan family.
Yesteryear's star Jeetendra had a grand Aarti in honour of Lord Vinayaka at his residence. Close friends and family were seen joining him in the celebration.
Madhuri Dixit also shared a picture of herself with the deity wishing all her fans a Happy Ganesha Chaturthi .
Newbie Tiger Shroff was seen happily posing with his family for the shutterbugs on the occasion of Ganesha
While most stars chose to keep it private and a family affair this time, there were a few celebs including Shilpa Shetty and Salman Khan who didn't celebrate Ganesha Chaturthi this year. Their Ganeshotsav is otherwise among the most popular and grand celebrations in Bollywood so the absence this year made the festival look a little lack luster as compared to the previous ones. However, Lord Ganpati always bestows his blessings on his devotees, celebration or no celebration.
So that was how Bollywood made this Ganesh Chaturthi a starry affair this year. May the festival bring lots of Joy into your lives as well.
Happy Ganesha Chaturthi to all of you from all of us at Peachmode.
