This year saw some strong trends emerging on the red carpet.
THE BLACK CHARADE
BLACK ruled the roost as the favorite color for stylistas. Sonakshi, Malaika , Shraddha etc all turned up in all black ensembles to prove that BLACK IS BLACK!
Yummy Mummy Malaika Arora Khan walked the ramp in a Masaba black and gold outfit and totally stole the limelight.
Parineeti's off shoulder number was structured and in a basketweave black Georges Chakra gown with ruffles at the hem. She looked toned and elegant.
Sonakshi who is suddenly garnering rave reviews with her fashion choices lately didn't fail to impress with her black Monisha Jaising gown with sheer embellished bodice. This girl is surely an epitome of confidence and bold!
Young heartthrob Shraddha also kept is minimalistic chic with loose curls framing her pretty face and a Mason by Michelle Mason dress gracing her petite body. Her nude make up went well with over all simple vibes.
DESI CHIC
The other trend that some Bollywood belles chose to flaunt was the INDIAN Attire. Deepika Padukone went totally desi with her beautiful SABYASACHI Red and beige Sequins embellished saree while the very hot Jaqueline Fernandez defied the norms in a cream lehnga style dress by Anamika Khanna that had a stylish cape and short choli. The head turner rocked this Indo western ensemble with panache!
THE SCARLET EFFECT
Red is the color that saves the day. This super attractive shade was the choice of the high and the mighty divas such as Anushka and Bipasha, both dressed to kill in GAURI AND NAINIKA gowns. While Anushka's gown was more demure as compared to Bipasha's dare to bare number, both the beauties had made a lasting fashion impression for sure in their respective red hot numbers!
PASTEL PASSION
If summer chic be the style inspiration, then Priyanka filled the slot completely with this soft pink embellished gown. The pop diva looked gorgeous in this effortlessly stylish number by Nachiket Barve for the DIL DHADAKNE DO special screening at the award show.
