Govardhan Puja
This is the fourth day of Diwali. Also known and celebrated as Pratipada, Annakut or Balipadyami across the country, this day is all about feasting and gorging on home made delicacy.
According to mythological legends, it was on this day that Lord Krishna lifted the hefty mountain Govardhan on his little finger to rescue the villagers from the torrential downpour. Also known as Annakut which means the mountain of food, people prepare Prasad and offer it to temples as an offering and a mark of this festival.
Bhai Beej
Also known as Bhai Dooj, this day is the fifth and final day of the grand festival of Diwali. This beautiful and auspicious day sweetly celebrates the lovely bond between a brother and a sister. Brothers and sisters exchange gifts as their token of love for each other.
